Buying the HP Color LaserJet 3800 had been one of the best purchases of my life. I am a business woman and I do my business from home. When I needed a laser printer for my work, I was perplexed as what to buy because I had not known then which of the products was best in use. As suggested by some friends in the know, I bought this amazing machine which has proved to be useful and unique in its outstanding functions and features.

This laser printer has superb color quality as well as advanced toner technology which enables it to form great colors with extraordinary quality. It also features networking tools and managements tools because of which it has become easier for me to connect it to the systems of my workers and secretary. Its fast speed is something I am extremely happy with. It does the work so quickly that it is almost unbelievable. It can print about 22 color or black and white prints in just a single minute which according to me is really fast.

I have been using it for the last seven months now and I am glad to mention here that in the past seven months there has been not a single time when I have found any error in or any kind of occurrence of malfunction. It has never even jammed and has always worked in the best way.

Some of my workers are not so capable to understand the monitoring of such machines but this printer is so easy to use and has such an easy way of functioning that almost anyone can operate it. Even my 9 year old son knows how to operate it. Other machines that I have seen are so complicated that they may take days to be able to be operated easily. This workgroup printer comes with a warranty of one year but I am sure there would be no such problems to use the warranty. The printer is silent in the standby mode while in the operating mode it does make just a little sound, so over all it is not noisy at all.

When my granddaughter received admission in college, she was expecting a gift from me that could help her in her studies. After thinking it over for a few days (and with a few hints from her) I decided to buy her a printer. I knew that this was something she would really get great use from as it would be a great help for her college assignments as well as she could stop depending on her father’s printer.

Therefore I bought her the HP Color LaserJet 3500 which I was sure about due to its brand which is a reliable product. I am happy to state her that my view about it was not mistaken as the printer is functioning well even after one whole year. She is extremely happy with it and she keeps telling me how helpful it has always been for her. This amazing printer has an input capacity of 350 sheets while it can also be expanded to 850 sheets if there is a requirement for more. That is why when I recommended my husband to buy one, he was glad to know about this expandable feature, which may not be common in other products and models. Its output tray has 150 sheet capacity and it is compatible with both PC and Mac.

This affordable printer is easy to use and has a great speed. My granddaughter tells me that its speed is unbelievingly fast. It can print up to 12 pages in just a single minute. She keeps on comparing her printer with that of her dad’s and she believes hers is 10 times faster than that one. It also has a networking option therefore she can share the data even from her dad’s system, if he needs it.

The product comes with the print cartridges which include the standard colors like magenta, cyan, black and yellow. The best thing about its cartridges is that these are easily available unlike most of the other printers. Thus it is not a matter of hassle to find them. These cartridges are highly affordable and my granddaughter does not have to ask her parents or me to buy them for her if she needs more. I have just recently purchased the Gestetner DSm-735 and I must say that it was a great decision that I made for my business. I run a small consumer goods supply business and we are always in dire need of copying, faxing and printing. The Gestetner DSm-735 has all these features and then some.

It was easy to set up the Gestetner DSm-735 as detailed instructions were given on the user manual. I just had to follow the steps and I was able to complete the procedure within 15 minutes.

The Gestetner DSm-735 has a standard paper capacity of 1,050 sheets and a maximum of 3,550 sheets if I am using optional paper banks. Automatic duplexing is available on the Gestetner DSm-735 and this is a great feature for our business. Many other features including punching holes into the paper, multiple stapling and booklet finishing options which are also available. As for the quality, The Gestetner DSm-735 uses great toner cartridge that gives crisp printing features.

The Gestetner DSm-735 is a champion when it comes to connectivity. It can receive direct commands from a web browser program and its 40Gb memory can store many documents including those with password protection that are only released when a person familiar with these passwords accesses the copier.

Facsimile features utilize a 33.6 Kbps modem with auto fallback and offers up to three G3 fax lines along with dual access. LAN-Fax option is available and we have installed it on our workstations to speed up the process.

The printer features offer 600 x 600 dpi networks printing with standard 10Base-T/100Base-TX, USB 2.0 interface. PDF direct printing and other features are also available.

The best part about the printer is its scanner printing option. It can scan a maximum paper size of 11" x 17" at 600dpi with 256 grayscales; network scanning is done at 52 ppm at 200 dpi. TIFF, TIFF-F, Multi page TIFF, PDF and JPEG formats are supported on the Gestetner DSm-735. The scanner has embedded scan to email, scan to folder, scan-to-URL and scan-to-FTP features.

Security features on The Gestetner DSm-735 include password protection, Windows/LDAP authentication and other features. I am totally satisfied with these security features and we do not have to implement any further security measures.

In conclusion, I will recommend the Gestetner DSm-735 for its all-purpose use in any company or business. I am totally satisfied with its performance and have no regrets on purchasing the Gestetner DSm-735. I am hoping the same for other buyers of the Gestetner DSm-735.

Gestetner DSm-616

Everyone wants greater productivity and the Gestetner DSm-616 digital copier system has this feature in abundance. I have been using Gestetner DSm-616 for a year now and I have yet to face any issues. I will explain in the following lines why I have no complaints with the Gestetner DSm-616.

The most striking feature of Gestetner DSm-616 is its comprehensiveness. It is a combination of fax machine, printer and photo copier. I now have no need of buying another machine and spending hundreds of dollars on these purchases. The Gestetner DSm-616 is an all encompassing printer/copier device for me. Yes, I do use its fax features but not as regularly as copying and printing.

My first experience of using the Gestetner DSm-616 was a breeze. It was easy to install and I did not face any difficulty in using this machine. It is even easier to use the Gestetner DSm-616 as there is an LCD panel with scroll down menus and other features.

The printer has standard 600 sheet paper capacity with a maximum of 1,600 sheet paper capacity; it can accommodate paper sizes up to up to 11" x 17". The Toner cartridge is superb and there are no issues with spreading or poor printing and copying. An electronic sorter is provided in Gestetner DSm-616 and this has made things easier for us; we earlier used to spend hours in manual sorting of photocopied documents. The printing speed is 21 pages per minute and resolution provided is 600 x 600 dpi; it of course provides great printing features.

The Gestetner DSm-616 offers network printing and offers support for PCL5e/6 and optional Adobe® PostScript 3. Connectivity is provided through USB2.0 and 10/100 BaseT Ethernet interfaces along with optional Bluetooth and IEEE802.11b interfaces. I do not have to sort through the tray selection as it is done automatically. Envelope printing is not of the highest quality but still good for us and better than ordinary printers. Duplex printing is a great feature and its automatic selection is even better. It has reduced our printing time to a significant degree.

The Gestetner DSm-616 offers black and white scanning and supports network TWAIN and scan to email functions. Overall, the Gestetner DSm-616 is a good digital copier system and I am satisfied with its performance. There have been no issues so far and the Gestetner DSm-616 is working efficiently. If asked to given a rating to Gestetner DSm-616, I will give it four and a half stars.

Gestetner DSc-435

A colleague first told me about Gestetner DSc-435 and recommend purchasing this digital copier and printer system. I was hesitant because I was not sure about the usability of the Gestetner DSc-435. I decided in favor of purchase when I discovered that the DSc-435 is available at a relatively affordable price. While I purchased it for its affordable price, I later discovered that Gestetner DSc-435 has all the features that I was looking for.

I run a small company that mostly deals in office management services. We therefore have to do a lot of printing and photocopying and the Gestetner DSc-435 is a great addition to our office. The printing features of the Gestetner DSc-435 include both black and white/monochrome and colored printing. It utilizes excellent toner cartridges that enhance the print quality to a greater degree. The printing speed is great on the Gestetner DSc-435 as it offers 35 pages per minute for colored printing and up to 45 for monochrome printing. This speed is greater than some of the more popular printers that I have used in the past.

The DSc-435 has 1 GB RAM and 80 GB hard disk; it is nothing short of a full-fledge computer. It uses Icon-based RPCS driver that offers precise and the most accurate printing even for the complex files and all this with a standard resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Adobe® PostScript 3 and PDF Direct Print features are available on the Gestetner DSc-435 and connectivity is provided by Ethernet and USB 2.0.

Copier features of the Gestetner DSc-435 are equally good. It has a touch screen panel that has made things easier for my staff to do large scale copying. The standard configuration is at 28/35/45 ppm monochrome and 24/28/35 ppm in full color though it can vary as per the copying plans selected by my staff. Color copying is not available to everyone thanks to password protection and other features.

Scanner features offer a 50/35 scanned sides in a minute along with a full compatibility for TIFF, JPEG and PDF files; scan resolution of up to 600 dpi is available. Scan-to-folder and scan-to-email features are available on Gestetner DSc-435. Thanks to great toner and scanning features, I have seen excellent results with no issues over staining or darkened images.

Facsimile features are available and other features are also available though I generally do not use fax so cannot say any exact words about this side of the product. I am however very happy with the printing, scanning and copying of Gestetner DSc-435.

Gestetner DSc-424

Touch screen technology has made things easier and the Gestetner DSc-424 is an excellent example of that. I am a freelancer but have been involved in some projects that require massive printing and photocopying. In my search for a combo device, I found the Gestetner DSc-424 and wasted no time in buying it. I have been using it for almost two months and results have been good so far.

Starting with the installation process, it was easy for me to install the Gestetner DSc-424. I just had to follow the guidelines of the user manual and it was a breeze. My main purpose of buying the Gestetner DSc-424 was its combination of fax, printer and photocopier along with a scanner. It is truly a great combination device with each part functioning well.

Printing options on the Gestetner DSc-424 are quite elaborate. It offers both colored and black and white printing. Printing speed is 24 to 32 pages per minute for black and white and 10 per minute for colored prints. It offers a standard resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The user interface and connectivity features include Ethernet 10 base-T/100 base-TX and a USB 2.0, as well as Bi-directional IEEE1284 with Firewire (IEEE1394) and Wireless LAN networking (IEEE802.11b). There is also a Bluetooth Network protocol, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, SMB, AppleTalk and other options which are also included. The printer is fully supported on my Windows XP workstation and there are no glitches in using all of its features.

Copying facilities on the Gestetner DSc-424 are satisfactory. Copying speed is the same as printing speed with up to 32 black and white pages and 10 colored pages. The machine takes up to a minute in warming up though the official time is 99 seconds. Zoom of up to 400% is available and up to 100 multiple copies can be made. Two standard paper trays of 250 sheets are available with the Gestetner DSc-424. The DSc-424 also comes with a great toner cartridge which seems to be very economical.

I do not use a scanner often but my experiences, though little, are worth mentioning. The scanning feature offers A3 and A5 sizes and supports scanner-to-email and scanner-to-folder options. TIFF, JPG and PDF formats are easily accommodated in the scanner option. I have used the facsimile function just a couple of times and there were no glitches in the whole process. It has a great modem that offers up to 33.3kbps speed unlike other machines that hardly go beyond 14.4 kbps.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give Gestetner DSc-424 8.5 marks for its stellar performance and great printing and copying features.

Gestetner 2712

The Gestetner 2712 grayscale copier is a multifunction office workhorse. Whilst not suitable for home use (unless you have a roomy home office and high printing needs) this copier is great for a busy office requiring the combined functions of a printer, scanner fax and copier.

With a resolution of up to 600 x 600dpi this great unit can provide clear and crisp copying and printing results with a very fine grayscale capability which leaves no banding, bleeding or blurring of images, texts, graphs or copies photographs. The copy ratio supported by the Gestetner 2712 is a reduction ability of up to 25% and an enlargement capability of up to 400%. This is standard of most copiers in the market of comparable make and economy.

The warm up time for the Gestetner 2712 is an impressive 15 seconds, so there is no need to wait around in the morning for the first print to come through. Once the machine is warmed up, then it gets going at up to twenty seven prints per minute in black and white and also grayscale. It has a maximum paper capacity of just over three thousand sheets, however this can be expanded with the optional automatic feeder. Through the multipurpose tray prints and copies can be made onto media such as transparencies, card paper, envelopes and labels.

On top of this, the Gestetner 2712 comes with duplex printing capabilities which means that gone are the days when you have to manually flip pages to get a print on both sides, which drastically cuts down time wastage, and will also be helping to cut printing costs and at the same time be more environmentally friendly.

Speaking of being kind on the environment, the Gestetner 2712 is also Energy Star compliant, so that you know its running usage is drastically lower than comparable machines without the Energy Star rating – this is another cost saving benefit of the Gestetner 2712.

The in-built fax is a standard facsimile facility, with a speed of three seconds per page transmission and a speed of up to 33.6kps. This printer is not really suitable for use on desktops as it weighs in at 165lbs! It will require its own corner in the office, however it is also not a monolith so can fit in almost anywhere with its 25 x 28 x 23 inch dimensions.

A few months back when we were working on improving the standard of our library, I thought of buying a new printer for it. I wanted something which was fast so that more students and readers could benefit from it without wasting their time and at the same time I wished to have something which was less noisier from the old printer so that it doesn’t disturb the environment or the peace and quiet.

I now believe that buying HP DeskJet 6980 was the best thing I could have done. It is just great, and fulfills all the main requirements of a printer in the library. I bought this printer a year ago and I have yet to experience any issues with its. So far it has just proved to be a perfect printer to fulfill my home needs and requirements. The HP DeskJet 3740 is not only easy to set up but at the same time it is also easy to operate. It does not have multiple buttons to turn it off or on. This can be done through a single button which is clearly marked with signs and lights. All the buttons are large and fixed at a logical distance from one another. I can carry it easily to my bedroom or office. Its silent mode is highly commendable therefore I can even operate it when my kids are asleep, the noise is hardly noticeable.

The Lexmark C935 is a huge machine and it is not easy to move it around. But that goes fairly well with the huge paper capacity it offers. The color prints are amazing and the HQ photos we print give a great look makes you feel that it’s worth the money spent. The laser printer comes with a one year warranty with on site repair facility. The Lexmark C935 laser printer is a machine I specifically recommend for a large office, otherwise, for smaller workloads, it might be a bit of overdoing buying this huge machine.

Lexmark Optra T612

It never hurts to pay more and get great resolution and quality with your color prints without clogging the printing jobs queue at your busy workplace. It was this that prompted me to buy the Lexmark C780 laser color printer for my office where we have to print hundreds of pages every day, not to mention the high-quality photos and images that this printer produces.

The Lexmark C780 laser printer is one of the newer and more sophisticated machines being manufactured by the company. The printer gives a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch and has an extendable memory chip of up to 768Mb. The advertised speed is 29 pages per minute for color prints and 33 pages per minute for black and white ones. However we have experienced it to be a little slower than that, but that’s the case with most of the other models of laser printers. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the speed.

The printer is easy to install and there are no complications with the software. I have not experienced any problems so far. Unlike the older models fold by Lexmark, the C780 comes with a built in Ethernet port. I find it a really handy option as we have the printer connected to a network and most employees can use it, and they have to.

I find a number of other useful features in this model that I did not get with some of my older printers. The sheet capacity is 600 in the front tray, saving us the hassle of loading paper too frequently. I can also feed different types and sizes of paper other than the standard pages used for printing such as envelopes, transparencies, etc. The overall quality of color printing is simply superb, and I am pretty satisfied with the high quality photos that we have to print sometimes at our office. I am also free of the worry of changing toners as they last for a fair period of time. The printer is also compatible for with most of the usual operating systems that we have installed in PC’s these days.

I recommend the Lexmark C780 laser printer for offices and workplaces where there is a heavy load of printing work done. The color printing quality of C780 also makes it a good choice for users who have to print photos and other high quality images.

Lexmark C524

Having to buy cartridges for your inkjet all the time is a real problem with all of us who have to print a lot of documents every day. It’s strange how people tend to think that they have saved money by buying a normal inkjet but fail to realize that in the long run it costs more as you have to change cartridges more frequently with an inkjet than replacing toners if you have a laser printer. I have a lot of printing to do at the office, and recently I switched over to the Lexmark C524 color laser printer.

The laser printer saves me a trip to the store every few weeks for buying cartridges. The Lexmark C524 has four toners installed for black, magenta, yellow and cyan. The color prints resolution is 1200x1200 dpi and the image quality is great. I have much better color prints than I used to have with the inkjet. Not to mention the fact that any photo in high-quality costs much more with the inkjet.

The Lexmark C524 advertises a speed of 20 pages per minute. It is a little less than that in practical use as the machine takes thirty to 50 seconds in warming up. So for single prints, you have to wait for a while but the average speed is fine for batch printing. Toners need not be replaced that frequently and if one color toner runs out you need to replace that only so it’s still more economical than the inkjet.

I found the software that comes with the printer pretty simple to install and run. The printer is also compatible with Unix on the PC. It might not take you more than ten minutes to start printing after unloading the box. I have not yet encountered any software problems and the printer does not jam, something that frequently takes place with my inkjet. This model in the series has both a USB and parallel port but there is no Ethernet option so if you have a large workgroup using the same printer than there is a little problem with the Lexmark C524 as you cannot connect it to over a network.

The superior quality of color printing, especially high-quality photos, and the economy of the Lexmark C524 makes me really satisfied with my purchase and I recommend this model of laser printer for all those small offices where there is a lot of color printing required.

Lexmark E240

Though inkjets are much cheaper than laser printers, a slight increase in print jobs can make you replace cartridges every few days and your printing costs creep up in the long run. I felt that after using an inkjet in my little workplace where all I had to do was print a less than a hundred pages in black and white every day. I checked over the internet and came across the Lexmark E240 laser printer which I found is well suited for small office work.

The Lexmark E240 laser printer serves my cause pretty well. The promised speed is 27 pages per minute for Letter size and 26 for A4. The actual speed varies but it is still quite fast and is better than the old printer that I had. The built in memory can be extended from 16 to 80Mb. The resolution is pretty good generally for all types of documents. The toner system works pretty well for me as the toners last longer than the inkjet cartridges and this cuts down the running costs of printing considerably. The printer is compatible with Windows 7 and a host of other operating systems.

Lexmark E240 is a bit of an old model among the huge variety of laser printers available in the market these days. Then again, it is quite cheap too and serves the purpose of black and white printing very well. So why spend more for the newest stuff if you do not require the additional features that are available in the latest models. I feel this model is very much worth the money I paid for it and it comes with a one year warranty. What’s more, most of the printer’s components apart from toners are easily available.

One drawback of the Lexmark E240 is that there is no option of color printing. Although I do not have to print many colored pages, it’s still a shortcoming when you cannot get the odd colored document. However at the same time, the prices jump sharply once you move from black to color laser printers so one is willing to make the sacrifice if he or she does not have to color print all the time. The Lexmark E240 is also a good thing to have at home, when you need to get some printing work done at home, it can serve the purpose well and you do not have to spend much. I recommend you get a Lexmark E240 for your small text printing jobs and save your money.

Lexmark C520

Having a slow printing pace at the work can really hamper productivity. There are simply too many features required for good quality printing and the older models of laser printers available are cheap but they certainly do not offer much in relation to modern styles of document production.
